I have been offering CBT-I since 2016, and I have been licensed since 2008. I see self-referred clients for insomnia and nightmare treatment, as well as take clients who are referred from sleep physicians and other therapists. Because part of my practice is for the treatment of severe anxiety, I also tend to see clients who have both anxiety and insomnia, including those who have previously tried CBT-I and not completed treatment because of complex fators, such as needing treatment modifications due to trauma, medical illness, or other complicating factors.
I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Penn State University. More can be found about my background at https://www.ayamapsychotherapy.com/about-therapist

I offer I-CBT as a standalone treatment for insomnia, and also embed I-CBT into longer therapeutic journeys that make space for processing your life, your history, and the conditions that may have prompted the initial onset of your sleeplessness. In addition to supporting clients with insomnia, I have advanced training in perinatal mental health, eating disorders and OCD, and often work with artists, parents and people in high stress careers. My style is warm, curious and compassionate, and I really work to understand where you're coming from and help you figure out what it looks like to make I-CBT work for you and your specific situation.
